I have released the Voter-to-Voter Media Kit For JRE. It is a self-installing Windows executable that packages campaign TV ads, streaming media clips, policy documents and web site links into a single 15M download. It allows national voters with dialup access to view high-resolution video of campaign ads.
If the media will not represent JRE's campaign, voters must route around the media. In the race for teleportation, low-cost CD burners and inkjet printers are neck and neck. We can use both to combat the geographic and financial constraints of this year's compressed Democratic primaries. The dialup Net can teleport PDF files (flyers) and video (replayable commercials).
The Media Kit is small enough (15M) for distribution on business-card CDs. It will take an hour to download at 56K. After installation, all media is accessible through the Start -> Programs menu. My goal was to provide a one-stop crash course in JRE for someone who has been living in the proverbial cave, media created or otherwise.
